Hello Friends, How was your weekend? Soo much crazy scary weather with sinkholes, tornadoes and fires oh my! I hope you all are not experiencing any of that… my heart goes out to those people & families.
I am popping in today for my monthly feature on the Power Poppy blog … “Finding Your Mojo” Yep I lost mine but, that’s ok everything happens for a reason lol.
Here is a video to show you my process and if you want more info you can check out the Power Poppy Blog.
The illustrations of these flowers are so exquisite that they stand alone. The stamp set is called, “Sweet Memories” from Power Poppy. My goal for you is if you lost your mojo you can still create cards & enjoy the process. Yes I brought out my copic various ink and if you don’t want to try a big bottle I suggest starting with this copic refill.
On another note it’s so exciting to see so many of you signing up for “The Coloring Road Trip.” !! Woo Hoo! I hope to pick a day soon for the next “The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge” …. I wish I could make myself color daily inbetween the challenge but, I just don’t for some reason. What about you? Do you find the time?
Have a great start to the week. Hugs, Kathy

I think my mojo is taking the Summer off! Every time I head to my craft oasis with an idea in my head it seems like the idea falls out somewhere in between my bedroom and my craft oasis! Due to this my oasis is getting more organized by the day, I just ordered a few stamps and dies and am hoping they will break the dry spell because I have things.to make, people to surprise and techniques to try!

Mojo….it must be in the air! All of our mojos must be having a meeting somewhere private because I have been looking for mine in all the wrong spaces! I was hoping for another 30 day coloring challenge to get my juices flowing. I was doing well coloring after the last 30 day challenge and then i don’t know what happened, I looked up and I hadn’t colored in two days.
I am trying to practice watercolors since this is watercolors month…right? Well I fall back on my copics because that is my comfort zone. To make myself watercolor only, I brought my paints and watercolor books from my studio to the main house…that was two days ago. Today is a new day, I am going to paint with watercolors today! Wish me happy watercoloring…that’s a thing….right?

ps. I am moving to one of the places you guys come all the time. Living in Miami we get nothing down here. I have to go to St Pete or Orlando to enjoy the crafting world.
Have a wonderful coloring road trip. I know there are waiting lists for you. You, Kathy, are amazing.
Love and Blessings!

Hi Kathy ~ Somehow I find it oddly comforting to know that the “power player” cardmakers like yourself can also lose their mojo too! My mojo seems to come in spurts and for now I think it went on vacation without me. LOL I love this card technique and, like you said, it wouldn’t require a lot of detail thought process. Thanks so much for sharing and I look forward to what you’ve got coming up next. Have a great week! ~HUGS~

Thanks Kathy for more great ideas–I’m watching for when you come to our area, you said you are hoping for a winter time, which would be wonderful! We had a big monsoon storm last night, got some rain, lots of wind, thunder and lightning.

Love you sharing about this!! So imortant to know others go through it and it’s normal. Unfortunately you aren’t coming to any Florida places but will play via the internet.

These summer months are so full of gardening and family stuff. I do have several birthdays coming in August so I am determined to do 3 cards for sure. It just so happens I purchased a Botanical Wonders color art book at Wal-Mart and it has pages of small florals that I think will make great backgrounds for cards. After I do the dishes in the evening, I do color for an hour or so. Television in the summer just seems wrong and mostly every show I would normally watch is in reruns! It doesn’t seem to me that your mojo went far… these are lovely. I don’t own any copics, would Zig markers work? Glad you are doing great with your Road Trip, so exciting…

Hi Kathy, Glad it’s just not me with losing the “Mojo”, gone, lost, can’t find it anywhere !!!
Just can’t get going on anything, The only thing I have done since the Color challenge is a fathers day card from my bulldog to my husband ( she was too LAZY to do it herself, lol )
Oh, well, have a good day everyone. Hugs
