Day 6. Coloring Layering Stamps & Giveaway

Hellllooooo Everyone! How are you? Any different from yesterday? I was just telling my husband it feels like Friday lol but, at least it’s finally Wednesday!
Today I am sharing a super simple and easy card with some coloring on a layering stamp. The stamps and papers are from the Gina K. Design’s “Sunshine & Love Stamp TV Kit“. Guess What? I have one to giveaway! Woo Hoo! More on that later.

The kit is chock full of stamps and dies and a lot of bang for the buck. The Sunshine and Love StampTV kit also has a lot of Gina’s awesome card stock.  It’s pretty easy to create beautiful cards …. perfect for both beginners or more experienced stampers!

This kit includes:

  • 1 Layered Daisies Stamp Set
  • 1 Layered Daisies Die Set
  • 1 Rose Peonies Stamp Set
  • 1 Rose Peonies Die Set
  • 24 Sheets of 8 1/2″ X 11″ card stock, 3 sheets each of these colors: Coral Reef, Sea Glass, Tranquil Teal, Jelly Bean Green, Wild Dandelion, White Layering Weight, White Base Weight, Black Onyx
  • Comes in a storage box.
  • Dies come on a Stamp-n-Storage magnetic storage board.

Since I love coloring I had to add a little coloring on the layering stamp that’s in the kit. The ink I used was Innocent Pink, Peach Bellini & Warm Cocoa to stamp the flowers.  I purposely selected lighter inks so that adding color pencil details would stand out.

I always say the best pencil is a sharp pencil. With that said use a sharp tip to create lines over the stamped areas using the ink as a guide to add your accent lines but, the tip needs to be sharp or the lines will be to thick.

After stamping the background I added a layer of vellum to give my card panel a softer look. Some yellow cardstock was glued on the inside cause I love a pop of color.

    I think my husband is wishing it was Friday cause this weekend in Australia is Queen’s Birthday Weekend in NSW so thats an excuse for a long weekend, late nights around a big fire and lots of stubbies.
    Kathy love your card, I love the layers of stamping then pencils, I haven’t tried that yet. Have done Distress inks and oxides and pencils over but not stamping so a new technique to try and that layer of vellum, yes I need to try that too. xx Aileen

    “Monday I have FRIDAY on my mind.” See how I used Fri. there? We are having problems with Frontier, the company that makes my computer and land-line phone work. I get kicked off and I can’t get the computer or phone to work. I hope I can finish this before I get kicked off.
    I love the colors you picked for the flowers. My niece would love them because she loves pink. The way you colored the flowers makes them look real!I love them and I have to try what you did. You are always doing things I never think of to do. That’s why your cards always look better then mine. I’m going to save this page and print part of it for my binder of arts and crafts things that I want to save when I can get my printer to work. I don’t like how my technology is not working right now.
