That was such a great tutorial! I broke my alcohol inks out for the first time ever last night, and I love them! Your tutorial got me thinking of other materials to try to get a similar effect too….if you’ve tried any others, would love to hear about them!

That’s a cool technique and I haven’t seen the alcohol inks used in awhile so it was nice to see you using them again!
I really like the look of the reddish one with the paper towel marks. Funny. I’ve tried this before and always did my best to NOT mark the ink up. Purposely marking it looks great. LOL!

amazing technique using the Reinkers – I’d really not have thought they would work with acetate. I love the way you discovered the way of using the texture from the paper towel too – you never know what is going to occur next when crafting do you? I particularly like the way you have highlighted the date in the first card.

huh! i’ve used alcohol inks on acetate but would not have thought to try distress reinkers! and how on earth did you happen upon that paper towel technique?!

I was just talking to a friend yesterday about wanting to craft with acetate, and now I have a very cool technique to try on it! Great tutorial over on the BG blog! One question…I didn’t understand what you did with the circle you cut out of the acetate with the word May on it. Is it darker because of the Glossy Accents you used to adhere it back in? ~Hugs!

Very cool technique. I love the texture this creates. I’d never thought of being sure to have more ventilation when using reinkers. I’m glad for the reminder.

I just came back from BG and I have to say that I have never had a lot of luck with acetate, but now I think I am going to revisit it …. Your Think technique tutorial was fantastic! I have never used acetate before but you have inspired me to add it my scrapbook wishlist. There are many steps to the process but it is so worth it. Well, I never would have thought to use refill inks on acetate. Or that the alcohol blender could even be used with them….interesting, must give it a go.
Love the stamp too. I’d be tempted to cut each month out, but I suppose just taping all the unwanted months would be easier, then stamp just the one month.
