Hello Friends! How was your weekend? Did you get some good coloring time in? Ahhh finally I had time to sit down and putz over some images.
Since the coloring challenge started I really haven’t had time to do this so I am a happy girl.
I combined two of the Mama Elephant stamps sets. The sweet soaring girl is from “She’s so lovely” and they are such happy & adorable images. The flower is from “Pretty Lovely” and I have been itching to stamp it.
I stamped everything with Inkon3 … always let the ink dry first.
First I painted the background and then the flower. The stem was elongated easily. I wanted it to appear that she’s going to land into the flower and I hope I was able to convey that.
I totally messed up the hair so I made a wig and glued it on the girl. My lighting wasn’t good tonight so I added hair where there wasn’t therefore, my wig doesn’t fit perfectly. That’s ok!
I went a little crazy on the nook and cranny action lol but, it was so refreshing to finally find some real “ME” time.
The giveaways will start up this week and I am loving every single thing you all are sharing. See you tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

This piece is so creative. I love how you pant the background first. The long flower and sentiment up the side is perfect. I think sometimes stems are too short and I have drawn them longer. The girl is perfect and great way to use her. Stunning colors as always.

What a fun image to work with.
Teresa Doyle says
Good thinking with the wig action Kathy, I might have turfed it rather than thinking about a cover up (in this case, a wig!) These images are wonderful and of course you coloured them beautifully. Love the depth your “nook & cranny action” gives, its really lovely.
Dina says
Nothing wasted and a learning experience…ty for sharing love the wig
Jennifer Scull says
I love everything about this! And the wig totally cracks me up!!! 🙂 Since my hair never fully grew back after chemo, and is really falling out like crazy recently, we joke that it won’t be long now that I will be needing a wig. Maybe you can color me a rainbow assortment to choose from depending upon what I am wearing or my mood for the day? 😀 but really, your card is wonderful! Glad you were able to get some coloring time in.

Beautiful! The whole thing reminds me of “The Flower Fairies ” and “Butterfly Fairy” books I used to read my girls when they little. Now they’re too little for me to read to them, but they’re not too old too to color with me with their Copic markers and color pencils. As always, thank you for today’s post.

I’ve messed up on coloring hair on my stamps girls that I’ve stamped just hair to practice
and ended up using the best one as a wig on my card! I know of this when you lose your hair you wear a scarfs / wig or nothing!! I don’t own copic markers so I try to match colors that I have doesn’t always work and ended up with little shade so I continue to practice coloring!!

I love the helpful tips. I wouldn’t have thought to use a ‘wig’ to cover my mistakes. Your colouring is just fantastic.
Elin Stengrimsen says
Hi Kathy I just love this card. So you combine both water color and Copic that’s good to know for I like that Idea. I feel difficult to do the background sky and so on in copic .
1. Can you use watercolor paper with Copic?
2 What color in Copic did you use in the girls hear its beautiful Love it

I love how you colored the flowers and the background. I also love how you made underwater bubbles. It looks like she is really breathing underwater and the flower is underwater. That is so cool! I am going to post more things that I have colored. I love being a part of your blog and wish we lived closer to each other so we could have fun coloring together.
