Hello Friends, How are you? It’s day 30!!! Omg!! I can’t believe how these coloring challenges seem to go by so quickly. I had a blast viewing all your creativity every day and reading how making time for yourself has been a positive experience for you like it is for me :). It’s music to my ears when you mention the calming effect of coloring. You all have been so kind and supportive of my 30 day coloring challenges and words can’t begin to express my gratitude. Thank you for playing along even if it was for one day or all 30. Congratulations to you for coloring more than you normally would! I am so proud of you all!!
Also a big thanks to the Good Will Ambassadors for spreading love on Instagram and or FB. A huge shout out to Seeka, Lizzy, Kelly, Gina, Susan, Amanda, Kari, Cris, Ardyth, Tina, Jo Ann and Patricia & many of you for being so active and supportive and encouraging in the FB group & at Instagram. I hope we were able to reach you and encourage you. Our community is the best and the most supportive people I have had the pleasure of knowing. Thanks to each of YOU for motivating me to do these challenges. (in the next week I hope to get to you all who shared on my blog) Also a big thanks to Patricia who helps me with FB
The last 30 Day Coloring Challenge I posted what to do with your images. Click here to see it. There was another Day 30. that was one of my favorites … I called it Optical Illusions. Click here if you want to see it. OR my Starbucks shaker card here.
As far as today’s card are ya ready? It’s for Gallie!!
This card is a few cards in one or I like to call it a mega card. As you know I have been working on this for several days. Gallie is my son’s girlfriend and she’s so special and I love her very much. I can’t wait until the day comes that I can call her a daughter-in-law. Some of you that have been following me for years you might remember the name Gallie. I collected cards for her mom (my son had just started dating Gallie a month or so prior) and then I updated you all on Gallie here. Gallie and my son are living together now and they had us to dinner last night because her dad was visiting.(I hid the card for her to find later) As you might imagine it was a special dinner and I was glad I had a special card for them.
After coloring the barn with markers and using some copic blending solution I enjoy adding some distress ink because it amps up my coloring and gives it some richness. Super easy!
At first I thought this was it … the finished card but, then I needed to add more.
This tree is sooo adorable but, I decided to cut it up and make greenery out of it or garland. The box will be used to prop up one of the critters. The top branch is hanging at the enter of the greenery.
Curling up the greens adds more dimension. Still not finished but, it’s fun to see it progress right?
Adding this fun tractor and the bird and was thinking for a second that I was ready to call it finished and then I realized it needed MORE! Some balance lol.
There are so many awesome little critters it was easy to keep on coloring and adding colored images. All done now.
I like to do different layers of foam tape. The duck stands out the furthest.
I think it’s easier to blend off the paper and when you fussy cut you don’t have to worry about going out of the lines. I cut between the bunny’s arms to insert the bird.
There are so many stamps to create a wintery and or holiday scene from Purple Onion Designs.. You can check out all the stamps here and the stamps are 25% off until December 7th! Woo Hoo! One thing to note … these stamps are red rubber and they aren’t mounted. I put a piece of tape on the back of the rubber and tape it to my misti. Quick, easy and simple.
Again I want to thank YOU for visiting me each day and following along, coloring and inspiring me. I am super duper grateful. Many hugs and love, Kathy

Oh how I wish I could have participated more this month, but it wasn’t meant to be. I sure have enjoyed seeing what you are coloring, Kathy. This card is a fantastic showpiece to end the month with. What a labor of love and cuteness. Your creativity is off the charts. I don’t think it would have ever occurred to me to cut up a tree image and use it for greenery. So clever. What a lovely tribute to your son’s girlfriend. I am sure she was wowed by your card and thoughtfulness! Thanks for all you do, Kathy!
Kathy Racoosin says
Jeanne, I understand! I am really happy that you did participate by following along and leaving the sweetest of comments. Thank you for your kind words about Gallie’s card 🙂
Dot Freel says
You definitely saved the best for last! That megacard for Gallie is a masterpiece! I love those images but the scene you created was just outstanding. Love how you cut the tree in half to use as garland. Love the yellow glow in the barn. Each animal is just colored beautifully. Thank you for hosting another coloring challenge. I got to color more than I would have without the challenge because November is a busy month for me and I got a lot of my Christmas cards done, all thanks to you. Love you Kathy!
Kathy Racoosin says
Awww thanks Dot that means the world to me!! BTW when my daughter was home she curled up in your quilt!! I noticed on IG it was your BD… happy happy BD. At the very bottom of my post I wished you a person HB. Love ya too. xxo

Kathy Racoosin says
Oh my goodness, Sheri, that is so awesome! Put on your favorite Christmas movie and assemble 🙂

First off I live in the country and there are many old wood barns that could use some TLC. They sometimes make my heart sad…. I do know upkeep is expensive. So many have gone to steel buildings, not very attractive. Your barn makes my heart sing! Love the sweet garland and that adorable tractor, oh holy night. My next door neighbor has a tractor (broken) that has been out in his field for about five years. Every year at Christmas I am so tempted to add a string of lights to that behemoth. Totally enjoyed the challenge. I have been coloring but do not post my work. Thanks for your wonderful encouragement and work. Happy Holidays and warm wishes for the New Year.
Kathy Racoosin says
Anne, I am thrilled that you were able to participate, even if you didn’t link up! The whole point is to make a little xen time for yourself. I love hearing about your next door neighbor’s tractor…go for it and adorn it with lights LOL. I agree about steel barns; not much character compared to traditional wooden barns. I wish you a very merry Christmas and a fabulous 2019 🙂

(I’m COZY today, even with going outside for a bit of shopping! ) 😉 THANKS for your WARM WISHES, Kathy! 🙂
Kathy Racoosin says
Oh, Becky, you are the sweetest! I am very glad that you enjoyed the challenge and my scene card. Stay cozy, my friend 🙂
Henriëtte says
Oh my Kathy, this card was growing and growing and every time I thought it couldn’t get more awesome it did! Great card, adorable and stunning colouring and what a big suprise it will be for Gallie.
The 30 days flew by, excited to start the colouring challenge and now it’s over, done, incredible.
Thank you Good Will Ambassadors and Patty for all your hard work.
And Kathy, dear Kathy without you no challenge and although I didn’t do much colouring this time (I just linked up my second card) I enjoyed it so much to read and watch you colouring.
Thank you so much for all the fun and tips you gave us, have a great Holiday season with all the ones you love and I hope there be a next challenge next year.
Kathy Racoosin says
Henriette, I agree! I kept thinking it was done and kept adding and adding…I was wondering if “less is more” and how much would this card weigh if I continued LOL. I think the goodwill ambassadors did amazing; it is so sweet of you to acknowledge them in your comment. Thank you for participating when you were able, but especially for your loyalty and thoughtful comments. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and looking forward to the next coloring challenge in 2019 🙂

OMG Kathy, this isn’t a card, it’s a MASTRERPIECE! Lucky Gallie. You did such an amazing job on every element on this càrd and I can see why it took a while to colour. Fantastic work.
Kathy Racoosin says
Your kindness makes me smile, Teresa! I am so happy that you enjoyed my scene card. Thank you 🙂
Gail Plaskiewicz says
I am so sad! The 30 Day Coloring Challenge is all over with! Boo Hoo! I posted more coloring & some that weren’t colored but were handmade cards. I might have posted some repeats of cards & if I did, I’m sorry. I have to say that coloring & creating is just to much fun! I feel so bad that my mom has to go for therapy & to the chiropractor but I love that I get almost an hour each time to color uninterrupted & create masterpieces. Sometimes people comment on my coloring & say they love what I do. That makes me smile. What also made me smile was how you finished your card! I really, really, really, really love it! It is so cute & looks like Old McDonalds Farm. With a quack, quack here & a quack, quack there, here a quack, there a quack, everywhere a quack quack! LOL Of course I noticed you used my favorite color in the whole wide world on your card & that is also why I love it! I wish I could make a card like that!
I can’t wait for the next coloring channel! It can’t come soon enough for me. I want to mail you a Christmas card but I don’t have your addy. Can you send it to me, please?
Kathy Racoosin says
I know, Gail! I can’t believe another 30 day challenge is in the books. I am thrilled that you were able to color as often as you could; but especially because your coloring inspired others when they watched you at your mom’s therapy. Thank you for your kind words regarding my “old MacDonald” farm scene…and you could totally make a card like this one 🙂
Kathy Racoosin says
I do not wish to put my addy out publicly; please send a private email 🙂

Really enjoyed seeing everyone’s coloring for the challenge last month. Thanks for putting it together kathy! Quick question- what kind of tape do you use to stick your purple onion stamps on your Misti? Just ordered my first stamps from there and trying to figure out how to use them. 🙂
