The 30 Day Coloring Challenge is back! Since there is only 28 days in February I am still calling it a 30 day challenge lol. If this is your first time or twelfth time, welcome. The goal of this challenge is for you to be able to make time to color. Perhaps you can only carve out a few minutes certain days, that is totally cool. This challenge is for fun, to put your coloring mediums to use, and to create some ‘me’ time.
I hope to answer any questions you might have or give you a little refresher if you have participated before. I will share my daily coloring both on my blog and on Instagram. I am rarely on Facebook, but there will also be a private FACEBOOK PAGE, if that is where you choose to share your coloring. Hopefully you will be inspired by the other entries posted each day by other participants and we can encourage each other to stretch our creativity.
WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE CHALLENGE? To color something daily, even if it’s a few minutes, but certainly not required. (I know that I am happier when I am coloring even if it’s for 10 minutes.) It’s an ‘anything goes’ challenge; color whatever you feel inspired to do. Any medium of your choice including “coloring” with ink or fiber for that matter. Some days you will have more time than others but, it’s just about adding more time to color and carve out a little time for you (often I have colored one petal on a flower).
CAN ANYONE PARTICIPATE IN THE 30 DAY CHALLENGE? YES please! If you want to participate you can jump in at any time during the challenge. Feel free to include your children and grandchildren. If you miss a few days don’t feel like you have to catch up. We all know life can get in the way.
HOW DO YOU SHARE WHAT YOU ARE COLORING? On Day 1 I will have a place for you to share on my blog with a link up (here is the last challenge link up if you want to have a look). Two more ways to share are FaceBook or Instagram (these are more interactive). When you use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day I can find what you are doing. Kids & young adults use #thedailymarker30daykids.
WHAT IS A GOODWILL AMBASSADOR? Each challenge a group of people are chosen that were very active during during the previous challenge. They will be helping me spread love on Instagram and Facebook. The challenge is about coloring & it’s about community, spreading kindness & support for each other.

Yeahhhhh Kathy this is just what my soul needs, I’ve been so ill lately, still suffering, so a bit of card love will be excellent for my soul. Oh my gosh, is it The Coloring Challenge time already? Wow, it seems like it was just Christmas & now it’s Feb. Where do the months go, I ask you? Right now I am coloring a very intricate Mandala which will take me forever but it will be all worth it when I am done. I just finished a Beatle coloring page that looks like one of those posters advertising for concerts in the 60’s & I made a ton of Christmas cards, some of which you saw in the last coloring challenge. I need to make a birthday card for my uncle, a sympathy card for my friend Joyce whose mom just died, & a get well card for my niece who just broke the 5th metatarsal I her left foot like I did in 2017. She is a ballerina with the Orlando Ballet so no more dancing for a while. She did it in rehearsal. I also need to make some Valentine’s cards. I am going to be a busy girl! I can’t wait to start posting here! Oh yeah, I made a card for a card swap in Kit & Clowder that I can post too!
I want to be a Goodwill Ambassador! I’ve been a part of the challenge for a long time. That would be so cool if you did that. Just sayin’.

Congratulations to all the Good-Will Ambassadors! So excited to see my friend Kelly as an ambassador! This is only my second time playing. The last time I made about 10 days I think. So far I have colored a little bit every day. One day I watercolored layers. and another day I colored die cuts with distress inks. I hope they both count as coloring. 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration to color every day!
Hello Kathy and thank you for organizing this interesting challenge. I’m from Finland and my english is not so perfect so I wanted to ask you something. I don’t know is this silly question, but still, I will ask cause I’m little insecure and cause challenge name is DailyMarker. I understand, that purpose is to inspire to color, and you said in your info that any coloring with any paint or ink is allowed, but I’m still insecure is this challenge purpose to color only with some markers, or is it ok to share other teqniques too as brusho background or acryl paint or other media colors backgrounds too? Cause what I see shares on instagram, I do not see those. Most of coloring are really with markers as copics, distressmarkers or zigmarkers. And most of them are stamped images coloring.
