Hello Friends! How are you? It’s Day 6. of The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge. It’s been a busy weekend I hope you don’t mind but, this will be a quick post. How was your weekend?
Just a reminder that this challenge will be only 11 days instead of 30. If you have questions about The Coloring Challenge you can refer to this blog post.
Sometimes life doesn’t offer you a lot of coloring time and today is one of those days. I have been wanting to color this sweet stamp from The Rabbit Hole Designs since the last coloring challenge. Boy do they have some fun stamps!
If you love using your pencils it’s a big time saver to use markers for that first layer of color then pick up those sharp pencils to define the lines and get some contrast.
Looking forward to finishing this up.
This pie kept me busy this weekend. I actually made one on Saturday and then on Sunday (this is Sunday’s pie)! The second time I didn’t peel the apple. Thanks to Mansi for the recipe. The pie was delish and we didn’t get that sugar rush after a slice. As far as pies go I think this is a good option because not really sweet. For my first attempt check out the photo below. Both crusts were flaky and delicious.
Thank you for your visit today and for playing along. See you tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

Will definitely have to try combining markers and pencils. The pie looks delish (as did the pizza from your earlier post). However, the link for the pie recipe links to the stamps.
You may also want to check out Amy’s Healthy Baking site. She has some amazing healthy recipes. Hubby and I are addicted to her healthy banana bread (either with chocolate or blueberries). I did tweak the recipes a little to my own taste.

What a gorgeous design! So fun. I know you’ll do it justice. Great looking pie. I bought a big Emile Henri fluted pie dish for just these sort of pies. I use a pie crust shield to keep my edges from over-browning as some pies I bake take an hour or longer in the oven. Your attention to details really shows in your beautiful baking Kathy. ❤️

Yummy looking pie, can I have my piece with ice cream please ? I’ve had the most awesome day today, 6 hours of printing up images, drawing backgrounds & starting to colour. Had to keep moving so my back didn’t seize up but 6 hours luxury. Hope you’re having a good day x

Sounds like the perfect day!

You choose such wonderful, original looking images! I appreciate the reminder of using a soft copic layer before detailing with pencils. This is looking gorgeous! Weekend got away from me so I didn’t get a lot of coloring in. Those pies look fantastic! Apple is my favorite. I still need to master homemade pie crust!
