Hello Friends!! How are you doing? Hanging in there? Now that vaccines are on the way it certainly gives me confidence that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I hope it does for you too.
My card today is part of an Instagram hop for the sweet and cheeky chicka Erica. If you want to start at the beginning go to Terri’s Instagram here. (Next on the hop after me is Sandy.) I love being sandwiched between two awesome ladies (Sandy & Patricia) and even though this hop is for Instagram I thought you might want to see the array of beautiful rainbows being spread for Erica.
Simon Says Stamp’s Warm Hugs die cut is just the right size and scale and who doesn’t want to send a warm hug these days. Some awesome ladies and some friends arranged a hop on Instagram to send Erica some love that’s much needed right now. Erica is so joyful and such a gem and I hope all of these rainbow cards help heal Erica’s heart.
Creating rainbows aren’t my thing even though I love them. I will be honest this took me a bit (because I didn’t know where to begin I am so used to coloring) but, I am so glad my creativity was stretched.
My colors were chosen by the scraps that I had on hand. I used my paper trimmer to cut two sizes and glued them down on some white cardstock.
An easy finish for me is some colored twine and something from Lucy’s Little Things. These little pearls have three different sizes in the bag. Lucy has the most gorgeous mixes and she’s my tried-and-true just take a look here.
I put some twine in the cellophane bag from a stamp set, added a few squirts from a copic refill bottle and smooshed the ink around in the bag with my fingers. Once the twine is dry I tied a bow around the letter and glued Lucy’s gem on the center.
On another note I want to thank YOU all for making a donation. Check out where we are at now!! This wouldn’t be possible without you guys. $10.00 does make a huge difference and a big impact on children’s lives. Read more about the fundraiser here.
Wishing you all a lovely holiday season filled with love and joy. I know our family celebration will be small this year but, next year will be all the sweeter with more family and all of the festivities. Hang in there and sending you all hugs and love.
Much gratitude, Kathy

Such a great idea with the fund raising. Your card is fabulous & enough to warn anyone’s heart upon opening it, great job. Merry Christmas to you, Erica & everyone out there. This year will be quieter but it’s still Christmas. Thank you for a year of inspiration & encouragement x

This card fills the bill for 2 Wacky National Holidays…January 21 is National Hugs Day and April 3 is National Find a Rainbow Day. I love giving cards out of the blue and especially like to tie them to something so this is right up my alley. Thank you for the idea and inspiration. I only just found this today so not sure what happened with Erica but bless your heart for being there for her.
