Hello Friends, Day 1. of the 20th Coloring Challenge starts officially in just a few hours but, before I post any coloring it’s important to me that I introduce you to this talented, crafty and special bunch! Today I want to introduce you to the very first Goodwill Ambassadors. I thought it would be fun to see what they are doing 20 challenges & six years later! More on that soon.
If you are a newbie to the 30 Day Coloring Challenges you might be wondering what a GOODWILL AMBASSADOR is? Each challenge a group of people are chosen that were very active during during the previous challenge except for this particular challenge …. it’s the Goodwill Ambassador Reunion! These beautiful people will help me spread love on Instagram like all of the Ambassadors do.
A round of applause for my very first GOODWILL AMBASSADORS and my friends ….. so happy they were up for doing it all over again six years later for the 20th challenge:
I really want to honor these ladies & gent for setting the tone and raising the bar for the coloring challenges. For showing the participants from the beginning how awesome it is to be part of a coloring community by encouraging and commenting on FB and Instagram. I truly believe the coloring challenge wouldn’t have been sustainable without that support, encouragement & inspiration from this first group of Goodwill Ambassadors welcoming everyone to this new coloring community! I still marvel that we are here six years later and just as thrilled to be coloring like it was yesterday. Once the example was set I was lucky to get over 100 different Goodwill Ambassadors to continue spreading love, encouragement, compliments and inspiration for all these years! Thank YOU! THANK YOU!
I asked these awesome people if they would consider telling us what they have been up to six years later and after 19 challenges! Please grab your favorite beverage and read on.
Patricia @scrapflower Hola, I’m Patricia. I live in Madrid, Spain and have been doing crafts for basically my whole life. My first job is being a Mom to 3 amazing kids. I enjoy all types of crafts and creative projects although coloring is often incorporated into most projects. I love to color. In 2020 I started drawing for fun. My crafty friends, who I met from the first coloring challenge, encouraged me to make them into digital stamps. So I opened my Etsy store, Scrapflower Estudio. I have helped Kathy with these coloring challenges behind the scenes and run her Facebook page for the challenges.
Roxy @velvetsister60 Hello all you lovelies, Roxy here. Six years ago I was so excited for the first coloring challenge I would stay up till way past my bedtime to see all your beautiful creations and I still look forward to it today. I have met many crafty friends here, some for a lifetime. ♥️As much as I love to color and make cards, my first love is spending time with my family.♥️♥️
Nate @the_crafty_hubby Hey guys, I’m Nate. I have been married to my lovely wife for 13 years. I also am a male who makes cards and enjoys coloring! (#dudescrafttoo) I love fostering (and owning) dogs. I took a crafty/Instagram hiatus this past year but I’m looking forward to this 20th coloring challenge reunion! Let the coloring begin!
Sandy @mommyeyedr As my Instagram handle implies, I am a mommy and an eye doctor. My name is Sandy and I am a mother of two, married to my incredible hubby 27 years and a 22 year Breast Cancer Survivor. These past six years have flown by and the Daily Marker Challenge has forced me to make time for myself amongst my busy schedule. I have actually participated in every single one, every day in several countries, a hurricane, a pandemic and now a kitchen renovation. I have met so many friends through the coloring Instagram community online and in person and for that I feel extremely blessed.
Patti @pattikleon Hi, I’m Patti and I’ve been a commercial and residential interior designer for many years. My passion for color, texture and dimension has influenced my love for coloring. Our community of crafters has grown over the years and is still adding more talented people. I’ve been with The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge from the very beginning doing giveaways for Kathy. I have the added luxury of hanging out with Kathy to expedite the giveaways etc. This community has influenced and encouraged me to try different medias. Most of all I am grateful for the friendships I have made over the years. Make time for you! Crafty hugs.
Meghan @meghanshea3377 Hi, I’m Meg. I’m an avid crafty scientist and animal lover. Crafting experiments are my favorite pastime. Over the past 6 years I have acquired many dogs and made many coloring friends through Instagram and #TheDailyMarker30day challenges. I attended Copic Bootcamp in Arizona and have been fortunate enough to attend some of Kathy’s coloring challenge road trips. I work as a design team member for ThreeRoomStudio stamps. The owner, Sandy Boone, whom I befriended during the first coloring challenge in 2015! I live in Connecticut with my husband and 4 canine fur babies – Taco, Izzy, Moe and Daphne
Fatima @craftnwayz Hey guys, I’m Fatima and I live in Canada. These coloring challenges have allowed me to meet new friends and travel places I may not have gone otherwise. I’ve been to Phoenix, AZ for Copic Bootcamp, Cape Cod, MA for Kathy’s road trip, Florida for a MFT and friends meetup and more! I even was lucky enough to host Kathy at my home when she came to Canada. Although six years ago I was mostly focusing on cardmaking and coloring, lately I have been doing many different kinds of craft projects including quilling and home decor.
Sandy B @threeroomstudio Hi there! I’m Sandy, and I live in the Canadian prairies, with my husband Travis, and our furry little prince, Rico. Six years ago, I was fairly new to cardmaking, was an avid doodler and watercolour painter, and had just gotten these new Copic markers I had heard about. I happened on a little dragon card Kathy had posted on her IG account and had to learn more about who did that and how she made it. Who knew then that six years on I’d have made friends from all over the world, travelled to several crafty events, gone to Copic Boot Camp, and that I’d have started my own stamp company, Three Room Studio! I’ve been participating in this colouring challenge since the first one, and it was through that challenge that I met so many wonderful people who I consider dear friends now, including Kathy herself.

Thank you for hosting these wonderful coloring challenges and being such a dear friend. I know each challenge takes a lot of time, energy, assistance and finances to host. Your love, kindness and generosity does not go unnoticed, Kathy. I love you and appreciate you.

Thank you to you Kathy and to all of your wonderful goodwill ambassadors. Without you all and our wonderful community of crafters, the last 6 years wouldn’t have happened. I’m looking forward to trying to carve out time to colour.
