Hello Friends, Welcome to Day 2. of The 30 Day Coloring Challenge. How was your weekend? How does it feel to color again? Some of you might color on a regular basis for some reason I struggle with that. For me so it feels so good to get back into a coloring routine.
Take a look around and you might find something to color in oddest of places … even the grocery store. I love coloring insects and flowers. Last year I fell in love with the Big & Bold Honey Bee and the Big & Bold Majestic Moth from Colorado Craft Company. Check out this post to see my shaped cards and my wall art.
Last week I cut out the bees from my grocery bags to put aside to color during the challenge. My time was so limited today I decided coloring one of the bees was a no brainer.
(the brass fly on my kitchen counter is an ashtray I picked up at an antique store.)
The bee’s wing span is 10 inches!
On another note it’s a tradition to mention something that I think is very important and I like to mention it every challenge … our posture! When coloring take pause and think about your posture. What if you lift your gaze and straighten your back. Using a clipboard helps you prop up your project so you aren’t bending over (you can prop the clipboard on a stack of books) or a pillow in your lap can raise your project to prevent neck strain.
If you have questions about The 30 Day Coloring Challenge you can refer to this blog post. To share your coloring on my blog click here for DAY 1.
Thank YOU for your visit today and I will be back tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

Love this Kathy! Because of one of your previous challenges where you colored a Starbucks paper cup…I now always look at things to color. This bee is beautiful!

Love that you’re coloring an image from a paper bag, Kathy! You see beauty and repurpose in all things and it’s so wonderfully clever!

Wow! Awesome bee and your coloring of it is fabulous. Need to try this on a paper bag, I love how it looks.

I love these bees. I do want to ask, is this the actual size of the bee on your shopping bags, or have you enlarged them? Lovely idea to use the paper bags. Not many stores offer paper. I absolutely HATE plastic shopping bags. I wish Michigan would get rid of them. Great start and I can’t wait to see the finish. TFS

I wish my paper bags had bees on it!! I LOVE your color pencil work. Mine would NOT look like that if I had limited time to color!!

Bee is beautiful & definetly worth saving off the bags to colour. With bees being in a decline it’s worth showing how glorious they are in any way possible. Here’s to more of nature being coloured & highlighted x
