Hello Friends, Is your week off to a good start? Let me ask you … what does it take for you to get “in your element” or “that zone”? Today I was painting this rose and I completely felt like I was in my element.
This is today’s coloring and yesterday’s coloring is below. Tomorrow I will have more progress on this and more details on the stamping to create my piece. Love this Big and Bold Sympathy and Friendship Rose from Colorado Craft Company. The birds are some of my favs from Red Lead Paperworks and love the larger scale.
This is one of Lydia’s watercolor splits and if you are like what is Lydia’s splits …. no worries … Click here. (My split post is now 3 years ago and these paints are still kicking.)
More tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

Coming along nicely… I have been trying some backgrounds for Halloween using Distress Sprays. Watched Amy Rysavy and I am now addicted! Plus I love Halloween the most so it is coming along. Can’t wait for your finished picture!

Hello Kathy! love your the scene you created, can’t wait to see how you will color the birds ( I loooove birds!) you flower is amazing! just love all the depth you were able to give to it. What does it take me to get in “that zone” , “in my element ? first I need to CONNECT completely with the image! the rest is left to inspiration, to how the image feels within me, the more connected to the image I am, the greater the quality of the dialogue between me and the image is… The more fun I have. the more difficult it is to stop coloring!!!!!!! I am enjoying sooo much this challenge. Thank you.
