Caardvarks has a new challenge and a new sponsor too. Check out their blog hereto get all of the details and the inspiration. The DT was asked to create a gift card holder.
Just untie the bow and the doors will open up to a gift card. Isn’t this girl the cutest. I replaced the sheet of paper she was holding with a long gift list. The best paper to use is copy paper because it’s thin and rolls easily. More card details at the bottom of the post.
These vintage buttons are were perfect to wrap twine around for the closure.
If you want to draw fishnet tights I will list the perfect pen for fine detail work in the supply list.
The full reveal.
Here is another adorable image from MFT. For some reason I wanted to put her bedroom outside like she’s in a dream. Lots of white pen action in this card.
I “googled” “photos of childrens books” and dragged the image into word, sized and printed it to make the book.
Have you seen this “Scor.it.All”? I love it! This mini board is the perfect size for card makers. Not only is it compact, scores a perfect line and the non skid platform is second to none. I used to score my card stock with my paper trimmer but, the paper would always move and I wouldn’t get a good clean edge. You can the Scor it All here.
Sorry I got sidetracked 🙂 Cut your card stock to 7×4 3/4. Start at each end and score each side 2 3/4 from the outside edges.
Cut the inside paper to 4 1/2 x 5 1/4 and another to a similar size. Punch a half circle.
Cut your panels and add stitching if you like.
Assemble your layers and add pop dots to the girl and her head. Here is the link to “My Favorite Things” and their blog here.
Thanks for all of your warm comments yesterday. If you are visiting for the first time you might want to put your name on this list.
Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Kathy
