Hello Friends, Back again and I have lost track of the days. The next few days will be really quick and just some basic coloring. The love of my life, my hubby just had double knee surgery on Tuesday. Yes! That’s TWO knees at once. He’s in great physical shape and “young” so it was recommended. Surgery went great and now it’s time to heal and do rehab. After coming home from the hospital late last night I had to color just a little to decompress. All I had to do was grab my tote.
Let’s see how this comes out when it’s finished. Just trying something new. These flowers stamps are my all time favorite flowers and love the variety in the stamp set. I will be doing a lot more with them.
Thank You all for your support and I know that you all will be praying or wishing my hubby all the best. Your thoughts and prayers are so appreciated. “See” you tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

Lovely flowers, Kathy . Did you just draw the circles and watercolor, or did you mask and sponge them, if you don’t mind sharing? Thanks again for all your work on arranging and monitoring this challenge. I have really been enjoying it! I added your hubby to my prayer list.

LOVE how you colored the flowers and the circles around it are very pretty! LOVE them! I will be posting my Day 9 later tonight!
Don’t let hubby run you ragged getting things for him! LOL I have always found that men need more TLC when they are down and out than a woman does. Guess that just goes to show that we really ARE the stronger sex! LOL

Love all this colouring! Best wishes for your hubby’s speedy recovery. Make sure he doesn’t try to push faster than they recommend tho. My Dad has had 4 hip surgeries. Yep. 4. They always have to struggle with him to keep him from doing more too soon. Old firefighter. Can’t keep them down!

Love how you decompress and I’m sure it was a stressful day. Wishing your husband a speedy recovery. And you many colorful days ahead.

Wishing your hubby a speedy recovery! Rehab is the key–my brother has had both knees & both hips replaced (psoriatic arthritis) & he got better ROM with his last knee than his healthy in shape surgeon–all because he was faithful in doing the painful rehab. OK, off my nurse soapbox–LOL! Looks like this will be an interesting piece when done. Love those flowers, too!

Sending healing thoughts! Gorgeous card!

Beautiful flower coloring Kathy, and my, do I understand your hubby’s surgery! I’m guessing he had double knee replacements, he is indeed a courageous guy! I worked at a hospital that only did joint replacements for several years, just follow to a T all the directions they give you (pay special attention to the PT) and he will do great. Hang in there and yes, coloring daily to decompress is an awesome idea, get hubby coloring too, it will help control his pain and keep him from doing too much too fast.
Joan VanCourt says

I have been colouring one thing or another each day. So much fun. ( I am not on Instagram OR twitter nor am I terribly computer savvy, but I AM playing along.)

Sending lots of healing vibrations your way and I’m hoping your DH will recover soon. It must be pretty tough having both knees done at the same time, regardless of his age and physical condition. Hope you can get some energy from the few moments you’ll have to colour while DH is making his recovery. Love where this image is going. The circles make for a great background.

I was so impressed to see your post after the traumatic couple of days you must have had. I didn’t get any colouring done yesterday because of obligations in my non crafting life but I wasn’t visiting my hubby in the hospital! You have enabled me to order this flower stamp set after seeing your beautiful work, by the way.

So happy to hear that the love of your life’s knee surgery went well. I’ve had friends who did both at the same time and had great results. Just have to put in the rehab time, not fun but worth it. Love your flowers, so pretty. I can now uncross those fingers that I’ve been keeping crossed for you! Now you can take a deep breath and relax a bit.

BEAUTIFUL flowers & colouring Kathy!!!
I’m really enjoying how you include the blue shading around the outer edges – on my list to try and another reason for me to get some Copics too 🙂
Wishing your husband a speedy recovery!!! Two knees at once is going to be a challenge being fit will really help and the bonus is one surgery & one recovery – I do hydrotherapy each week at the local rehab hospital and most of the patients have had knee or hip replacements and I am in awe of how well surgeons have perfected things these days, so I hope he is mobile & pain-free soon!!!

Hi Kathy….just tuned in today and read that your hubby had bi-lateral knee surgery. Was it replacements? I had both knees replaced about 8yrs ago and it gave me a new lease on life. I could not walk without pain or stumbling. I had bone on bone rubbing. My surgeries were sucessful..but please tell your hubs for me that rehab is a MUST. You got to get the knee bended to “o”. My first one was horrible (the rehab). The second knee surgery, I aced it. It took 2 days to get to zero fully bent. This was (getting to zero) you will NOT walk with a limp. That was important to me. Prayers are going up in your name for his full recovery. Liking what im seeing with your 30 days of coloring expo. Keep up the good work. I mean great work! hugs. Connie
