Hello Friends, How are you? I don’t know about you but, I am a little sad that it’s DAY 30! I want to thank each and everyone of you for your support, love, kindness, comments, participation, inspiration and so on and so on. It’s because of you that the 30 Day Coloring Challenge has been a big success. So take a bow and let me give you a big hug.
Since it’s the last day of this second challenge I wanted to make something special for you all and was a little stressed. I thought I had the day to dedicate to the last day and as it turned out no so much. I didn’t sit down until late afternoon and than the dang video cut out parts of what I filmed. It was way over an hour so not sure if that’s why but, the two most important parts were good! *whew*.
Since the “no line”coloring is so popular that is what I set out to do using Mama Elephants new stamp set called, “Sunday Stroll“. The masked menagerie of animals were a little confusing without a line so I ended up taking that super fine line marker that I love and traced everything. The images were stamped with “Memento Desert Sand” and I used Copic markers to color them. Those of you new to Copics…yes they are alcohol markers.:)

In yesterdays post I used this same technique on the background of my card as I did for the grass. The “Various Ink Blending Solution” never fails. Some of you had questions so hopefully it will make more sense now? I used the set called, “Woodland Gifts” for my little scene. I stamped the log and turned it into a wagon for her to pull. Since I had so many images to mask I wanted to use some masking paper. To finish off the background I used Salty Ocean distress ink & added some Enamel Accents to the animals eyes.
So fun to use this stamp set creating little sweet scenes. This one was easy to throw together because I already had a duck cut for the mask. The stitched squares and circles make a fast and pretty card.
So it’s time to wrap this up and get to bed. I am going to try and post all of the winners on Wednesday but, don’t hold me to it ok? If you guys could spare an extra day so I can catch my breath that would be awesome. I know you all are excited. Giveaways are work and I try to do as many as I can because I am grateful for you all and love to have something to giveaway. I wish I had a party favor for you…wouldn’t that be cool.

Kathy you are an amazing person and artist. Even though I was very late starting this 30 day challenge due to the tornado and all, you still never stop amazing us with your wonderful talent. I am so glad that you had the 30 day coloring challenge 2 and really hope you continue with a number 3. The last couple of days catching up was just filled with color, technique, beauty and last but not least fun. Thanks again dear for making a hugh difference in my outlook on using color in so many ways. Your still the best in my book.

Oh, these cards are darling. I didn’t get to post anything this challenge, but I enjoyed every day that you did. I always learn so much. I just got my Crazy Birds inked and water colored last night. So fun. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all you do to make this hobby fun.

It’s hard to believe this month has come to an end already. Thanks for all the time and effort you have put into this second 30D colouring challenge. I may not have been able to colour each and every day, but you’ve given me another incentive to try and to go and explore the various colouring mediums that I have. I have also loved seeing your wonderful creations every day. And please take all the time you need to sort out the giveaways. I already struggle with creating and posting one card a week, so I can imagine how time-consuming it must be to create and post every day.

Kathy, thanks so much for this wonderful challenge, I managed to do all 30 days! I really have learned some new stuff–my new favorite is coloring with pastels–who knew that this little box of pastels that I only used with metal stencils or with embossing ink actually worked well with just applying with a brush–and once I discovered the little eyelash brushes that Jennifer convinced me to purchase for gluing small things (works terrific!) were also handy to use with pastels and watercolors to color small areas–I was off! I have renewed confidence in my coloring abilities, and of course I STILL adore coloring with copics, but all the looks are difference. I’ll be sending you photo’s of my “last of 30 days” project, I went a little overboard and just HAD to color the last 4 images I stamped on black paper. Today’s “project” is cleaning up and organizing my messy craft table and room, the floor is littered with my containers of ink, watercolors and papers, the desk covered with all the tools. I had a fun June, it has gotten me through the stress of having my daughter announce she was moving far away. Thanks and I hope you can catch your breath and have an awesome July!

I can’t believe it’s all over! Boy, 30 days sure does go by fast when your having fun, doesn’t it? I’m going to miss getting all your beautiful cards and videos but I know you will start it up all over again and that makes me happy. I also know that with all the coloring books I have and all the images on my computer (once I get my printer fixed or replaced) I can color anytime that I want. When I was a little girl, adults didn’t color. Coloring books were made only for children. I never would have thought back then that I would still be able to color when I grew up and now I am. Wow!
I love your images and coloring on the last day of our challenge. I got my order from Simon Says and I am in love with everything! In fact, I am ordering what I got for my niece for me because those ice cream stamps with the faces on them and the adorable sayings would be so cute on onesies for babies! I can’t wait to try them!

Such charming cards! I absolutely love all of the Mama Elephant critters. That was a whole lot of masking, but the end result was certainly worth it. While, I wasn’t able to participate everyday, thank you so much for hosting this 30 day challenge. Every day I looked forward to your posts and ot. hers posts on Instagram. While I will never be the artist that you are the 30 day challenge gave me the incentive to, not necessarily produce a card, but practice and, most importantly, play. These last two challenges have inspired me to use my Copics. I’m so proud to say that I’m not afraid of them anymore. I never would have spent as much time with them if it hadn’t been for your challenge. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your time any enormous talent with all of us!

Hi Kathy! Masking is a great way to get so much more use out of your stamp investment. I love both cards. Thanks so much for the 30 Day Color Challenge! It was so fun and informative. I love that you are doing videos and sharing your card making magic! My Favorite technique was the Copic Bridging using a light marker to pick up a dark marker and bridge the gap between 2 distant colors in the same color family. It amazes me every time I do it. Thanks for all the effort in putting the 30 day challenge together. I personally haven’t found a lot of time to colour of late, but you have provided heaps of inspiration and information.
Thank you so much for this past month. Started with one hand in a splint, but colored anyway!! I am so amazed not only by what I learned from you, but by what I am learning about myself. I am NOT a detail-oriented person (it’s just the way I am wired) but was amazed to discover how calming it is for me to focus on detail in order to color in stamped images. Who knew?! I got to play with a lot of my stamps, and now I have a collection of pre-colored images if I want to make a quick card one day!
