My Monthly Hero Blog Hop

Hello Friends! I’ve missed you all.:) How are you? I’m just getting back into the swing of things since my trip and I’m excited to share my projects using the new My Monthly Hero card kit, which you can find HERE. This kit was inspired by my sweet & wonderful friend, Jennifer McGuire and her Share Handmade Kindness Campaign. The kit contains everything you need to say thank you, make someone’s day or spread a little kindness.

I decided to share with you my process …. how I came up with my project today. I say process … it took me a little time because I love to color and this kit really isn’t about coloring. It’s chock full of great dies and sentiments. Another hit from Hero.

I die cut the envelope die from the kit with some felt and sewed it up. On the right if my set of six cards.

This felted envelope would be great for a gift card to two. I stuffed it with stamped sentiments for labels to use in my gift card package. In the video I share a vellum envelope..love vellum. Check out this post with some sewed vellum candy packets.

Each card has a different sentiment and for the colors I alternate between the blue & the green. The heart was stamped .. then I used a circle die to give it more presence.

The stitched die cuts from Simon were perfect to cut out all of the different sentiments. I backed them with some black fun foam.

-A 4×6 clear stamp set
-A gift card envelope die
-Four half sheets of cardstock in tiffany blue and green apple
-Four half sheets of vellum in turquoise and iridescent white
-Ten white tags
-.5 oz silver embossing powder
-Gray twine
-Gems

    I love what you did with those little circles and the sentiments on them. Here is what I would do with them. I would make everything but make more of those circles and carry them in my purse. Then when someone does something nice like the lady at the library desk or the person at the supermarket or anywhere, I’d give them one! Can you imagine how people would feel getting one? I know it would make me really happy to have and I would probably keep it in my purse or wallet and when I was felling down because the person I held the door open for couldn’t be bothered to say Thank You even though I said Your Welcome (it’s happened to me), I would take it out and it would make me feel better just to read it and see it. Can you imagine what a great wold this would be if we all did that? Or you could give one to someone who was having a bad day to make them feel better. The possibilities are endless. Since I don’t have a die cutter to make the circles, then you will have to start the process. Our world needs a lot more happiness in it and this is the perfect place to start!Thanks for the great idea! Now I just wish I could do it!
